Fáilte!
Thanks for taking the time to get to know a little bit about me. I am originally from Dublin, Ireland, but after being rained on for 26 years I decided to emigrate to slightly-more-sunny Melbourne back in 2008. I completed my Bachelor Of Visual Communications in Ireland, but I ended up moving in to photography when I moved to Australia.
I began to make a name for myself in the Australian documentary photography scene, and have achievements under my belt that include being named as Top Emerging Documentary Photographer in Australia at the Projections Awards (2011), named as one of the Top Emerging Documentary Photographers in Australia’s Top Photographer Awards (2011), and one of the Top Emerging Documentary Photographers in the Capture Magazine Annual (2010).
Fast forward a few years that included some more study (Diploma Of Visual Arts, NCAT Preston), I decided to take the plunge and fully focus on my art practice. I am currently working from my studio on the Mornington Peninsula and am raring to go, so if you would like to catch-up / collaborate / commission a work, I would love to hear from you. Please feel free to reach out on my ‘Contact’ page, or shoot me an email at ahoy@katelambe.com.
