Ahoy hoy! Thanks for taking the time to get to know a little bit about me. I originally hail from Dublin, Ireland, but after being rained on for 26 years decided I emigrate to slightly-more-sunny Melbourne, (a very fast) 13 years ago. I completed my Bachelors in Visual Communication in Ireland, but ended up heading down the photography road when I moved to Australia.
I began to make a name for myself in the Australian documentary photography scene, and have achievements under my belt that include being named as Top Emerging Documentary Photographer in Australia at the Projections Awards (2011), named as one of the Top Emerging Documentary Photographers in Australia’s Top Photographer Awards (2011), and one of the Top Emerging Documentary Photographers in the Capture Magazine Annual (2010).
Fast forward a few years that included an impromptu battle with cancer (spoiler alert, I won!), and some more study (Diploma in Visual Arts at NCAT, Preston), I decided to take the plunge and do a career turnabout to fully focus on my visual arts practice. I am currently working from my studio on the Mornington Peninsula and am raring to go, so if you would like to catch-up / collaborate / commission a work, I would love to hear from you.
